We want to make history fun.  We want to instill pride in our country and its military.  And we want to show you that our most incredible resource – our own citizens – can be energized into being a valued part of their community through involvement.

Our nation’s heritage reaches into communities large and small.  We all know about our great landmarks like Mount Vernon, the Lincoln Memorial and Mount Rushmore.  But did you know the first monument erected to the memory of African Americans who served in World War I is in the small town of Kimball, West Virginia?  Did you also know that the only physical evidence of the expedition of Lewis and Clark is an inscription carved by Clark on Pompey’s Pillar along the Yellowstone River in Montana?  Most importantly, did you know that both are threatened to become nothing more than a footnote in American history?  Located near the heart of our nation's Capitol, we’re here to help you make a difference, to save our treasures, to bring history alive, to let America know of your efforts and to cherish the wonderful heritage of the greatest nation on earth.
