 Capt.
Vera M. Jones was the first female Marine officer in Vietnam, assigned as
OIC, Marine Liaison, MACV Advisory Group. Photo was taken at the
first office in the MACV-I Compound in Cholon, 1967. |
 Cpl.
Jennette Hensley and 1st Sgt. David Ferguson. Cpl. Hensley arrived
in Vietnam as replacement for Sgt. Kenneth Batson sometime during
1967. She was assigned to the J-1 MACV. |
 Sgt.
Mary Glaudel was the third female Marine to arrive in Vietnam, serving
from August 1967-1968. She was assigned to the AG, MACV. |
 Sgt.
Frederick Smith (left), Sgt. Nola Makinster and 1st Sgt. Goodman.
Sgt. Makinster was the fourth female Marine to arrive in Vietnam.
She was assigned to J-2 MACV and served October 1967-1968. The
picture was taken at a Marine social organized by Capt. Jones in 1968. |
